Understand where the frame measurements come from

Five minutes here is the difference between a frame that disappears on your face and one that goes back in the post. It is also the single best use of your time before you order.

The three numbers

Printed inside the left temple of almost every pair of glasses ever made, and ours read the same way. Our AIRBORNE is 48-17-136.

Number	What it is	Why it matters
First — 48	Lens width in millimetres, across one lens at its widest point	Sets the overall scale of the frame on your face
Second — 17	Bridge width in millimetres, the gap between the two lenses	Decides whether they sit on your nose or slide down it
Third — 136	Temple length in millimetres, hinge to tip along the arm	Decides whether they pinch behind the ear or slip forward

Find your size in sixty seconds

The fastest reliable method uses a pair you already own and like. Take the three numbers printed inside its left temple and compare them with the table below. Anything within 2mm on lens width and 1mm on bridge will sit on your face much the same way.

All measurements in millimetres. Every Lite, Air, Pro and Max build of a frame shares the same measurements. Only the lens changes.

What a correct fit looks like

• The frame front is as wide as your face, or a millimetre or two wider. Not narrower.
• Your eyes sit centred in the lenses. Not high, not toward the nose.
• The frame rests on the bridge of your nose and the tops of your ears. Never on your cheeks.
• Nothing touches your eyelashes when you blink.
• Look down sharply and they stay put. Shake your head and they stay put.
• No red marks behind the ears or either side of the nose after twenty minutes.

If it's close but not perfect

Temple arms and nose pads can be adjusted, by us or an authorised partner. Don't heat and bend a frame yourself. See Product Care.
